"The force behind the power"
.
The Force Behind the Power is a 1991 album released by Diana Ross on Motown label, featuring production from the likes of Narada Michael Walden, Stevie Wonder and Al B. Sure. The album, like Workin' Overtime before it, was an attempt to gear Ross to a younger R&B audience. The song "When You Tell Me You Love Me" was Ross' last top forty R&B hit on the Billboard chart. However this single went to #2 in the UK and to #6 in Holland and again to #2 in the UK only last year, as a duet between Westlife & Diana Ross. "One shining moment" also from this album made it to #10 in the UK. The European release had two songs more than the US release being; "You and I" and the top 5 R&B duet with Al B. Sure, "No matter what you do". My favorite songs on this album are: "Waiting in the wings", "If we hold on together", "One shining moment" and the title track "The force behind the power".
