In the claws of a Tiger
.
As most of you know by now, I like it high, fast and deep... I'm talking about rollercoaster's here before you all get some crazy idea's! Since one of my latest posts is on my first ever vacation to Florida I think I will stay in Florida as well for this coaster. "Roaring Tiger" was the first wooden coaster I ever did and was located in a park called "Circus World" later to be re-named "Boardwalk and Baseball". This park was just a few miles west of Orlando. I say was cause I do believe that this park doesn't exist anymore. Anyway, I do remember it as if it was yesterday although the year I rode it was 1982. I remember going on that lift hill very slowly and the train made some strange noise. Now being a more experienced coaster riderI know that this sound is the "normal" sound a wooden coaster makes on it's way to the top! Going down was fun cause this coaster gave you a lot of airtime which is something I really like! I like the negative G's on coasters! It was a very fast coaster in my opinion. I'm sure that if I would do it again today I would say it's just for starters, but back in the days.... I though it was amazing! Never did something this exciting in my life! Here are some picks from "Roaring Tiger". See if you recognize the guy wearing that white T-shirt.
